You will learn to:

• Manage different hydroponic systems and structures
• Formulate, mix, and manage nutrient levels in the hydroponic nutrient solution
• Understand the fundamentals of managing the greenhouse environment
• Perform routine crop maintenance, identify and prevent common pest problems, and develop a crop schedule and food safety plan

This in an introductory level course intended for growers who do not have formal training in horticulture. Designed for teachers, small farmers, and employees in the US and internationally. It takes about 4 hours per week to complete lessons and activities. NOT INTENDED FOR HOMEOWNERS AND HOBBYISTS.

Usted aprenderá a:

• Manejar diferentes sistemas hidropónicos y estructuras
• Formular, mezclar, y manejar los níveles de nutrientes en la solución hidropónica de nutrientes
• Entender los fundamentos del manejo del ambiente en el invernadero
• Realizar mantenimiento básico del cultivo, identificar y prevenir plagas comunes, y desarrollar un programa de cultivo y plan de seguridad alimentaria

Este es un curso de nivel introductorio diseñado para productores sin educación formal en horticultura. Diseñado para maestros, pequeños productores y empleados en los EEUU y otros países. Tomará como 4 horas por semana para completar las lecciones y asignaciones. NO ESTA DISEÑADO PARA PRODUCCION EN CASA O COMO HOBBY.
